I have to admit, I am still pumped about the success of Warriors Faith Night 2014. (At least off the ice. On ice it was difficult to be pumped about the game result.)
It was absolutely great to have and announced crowd of over 1430 people fill RLP for the game. I am very appreciative to Mark Cheyne and Andrew Deans for giving me the freedom to run with this evening. Everyone helped so much; Wayne Moore on the PA, Kris Patzer with the music from the media booth, Stuntman Steve with his prayer in dressing room 9, the Kelowna Christian School Grade 4 choir, Alynne Shinness who directed the choir, Jason Woodford who made the Faith Night video, Kim Potter who took care of ticketing matters, the dozen or so pastors who played boot hockey at the intermission, what an incredible time for all.
The past few weeks have been very exciting for me, as I was able to travel with the Warriors on their recent road trip to Victoria, Port Alberni and Chilliwack. It was a good trip on and off the ice. On the ice, we were able to accumulate 5 out of 6 points. Off the ice, we had time to spend with each other and have a team chapel in Victoria. What I appreciate about my annual road trip is the opportunity to have personal one on one chats with players and coaches. I am always glad to take time with the guys to chat about off ice issues.
As usual, it is an honour to represent the chapel program of the Warriors, and more specifically, to represent Jesus. For that, I am eternally thankful.
God bless you all, thank you for your love and support. I look forward to another fabulous Faith Night when we host our 6th Annual next year.
