Okay. I know…. it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. However, it’s never a bad thing to be in first place, and that is where the Warriors find themselves at the moment. A combination of good goaltending and stingy defence has made for a strong first quarter of the season. There are many difficult games on the schedule in the next month, so these good qualities must continue for the Warriors to stay on top.
I am impressed with not only the win/loss record of our team, but also with many of the off ice changes as well. Some of these include a new updated look at Royal LePage Place arena. Here are just some of the notable changes: the VIP section, the wall murals, the ‘This is Our House’ hanging signs, the attendant service in the stands, the pizza/ 
chicken/wings and wine sales on the concourse, and the new sponsor signs on the score clock and all around the illuminate band. And… probably the most impressive and newest change is the Warriors awesome looking bus; what a beauty!
Personally, it has been great to get to know the 2017-8 edition of the team, of course with the many new faces. I have had the privilege to hold a number of Warriors chapels already, which are always a highlight of the week for me. (…and hopefully for the boys…) Last chapel I spoke about the good character choices that we all have to make in life, referencing the ‘5 fingers of faith’ from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 in the New Testament. Anyone who knows me knows that these 5 fingers of faith are very important to me: ‘Always be on guard, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong and do everything in love.’ I am convinced that if we live following these 5 principles from the Bible, we will not regret it.
